ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES FOR STUDENTS

Students from the Ratnagiri Sub-Centre are encouraged to undergo various activities/ exercises such as Summer Training/ undertaking field level research projects/ assisting Faculty Members in their research projects or consultancies and visits to Industrial Estates/ Developmental Projects/ conservation areas, etc. Some of the co-curricular activities are highlighted below:

1. Summer Training for M.Sc. Students
To provide adequate exposure to the Students of Final Year M.Sc. Programme (both in Organic Chemistry and Environmental Sciences), the University of Mumbai has linked its Summer Training Component (which is optional) with several institutions/ organisations as well as private sector companies which provided short-term training/ exposure to the students. 2. Dissertations/ Projects conducted by Final Year M.Sc. Students
As a part of partial fulfillment of the Final Year M.Sc. Programme (both in Chemistry and Environmental Sciences), the students are encouraged to conduct independent/ group research or an extensive literature search exercise.

The exercise carries 100 marks which are offered based on assessment of Dissertation work conducted by Students, at the time of Practical Examination.
