Indian Youth Climate Network (IYCN) is an organization of India Charitable Trust managed by a group of young and dynamic individuals from India and abroad engaged in addressing the climate problems. This group has taken a special task with Indian and foreign students have taken a Road Tour from 3rd January, starting from Chennai via Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai and onward to 15 centres and reaching Delhi on 7th February, 2009. The Highlights of these events is they are traveling with electrically powered three cars and solar powered bus. The University of Mumbai is working as an host for this programme while they are in Mumbai from 17th to 20th January, 2009. Tour is supported by Hinduja Foundation and Asia Society. The team shall arrive in Navi Mumbai on 17th and shall be received at Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology. Thereafter to SIES Nerul, Vivekanand College at Chembur and reaching to the University, Kalina Campus. The detailed programme for 18th, 19th and 20th January includes joining Mumbai Marathon and Leadership Training Programme in the Convocation Hall, which is to be addressed by the foreign experts and Indian Environmental experts. The highlights of these events also include a solar music band which operates on its equipment using solar energy.
